Mother’s Day: Psalm 23

God is my mother, I am safe in God’s love.

God invites me to climb up in her lap,

                              Wrapped securely in her arms.

She runs her fingers through my hair

And hums a lullaby in my ear.

I am protected by God’s love as I sleep.

God’s song sounds through sweet dreams,

“You are loved, you are loved

You are mine and you are loved.”

God’s gentle hands will guard with fierce love and nurturing goodness

               All night long.
